Our Technology
How it works?
Atoms consist of protons (defining the element) and neutrons in their nucleus. The total protons + neutrons equals atomic mass. Different neutron counts create isotopes of the same element (e.g., Carbon-12 vs. “heavy” Carbon-13).
Stable isotopes—unlike radioactive ones—don’t decay, making them reliable for food verification. Using Stable Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (SIRMS), samples are chemically processed, ionized, and passed through a magnetic field to measure isotope abundances. Detected isotope signatures are then cross-referenced against authenticated databases to verify claims like origin or production methods.
